- First off, Tom Geeks, a wonderful, ever-changing source for women comic authors and/or artists. I just found another one today on there and I shall list it.
- The Phoenix Requiem, by Sarah Ellerton, which updates Mondays & Thursdays. If you're up for another, read her completed web comic, Inverloch. Sara is ALSO working on Dreamless, which is a really beautiful storyline if you ask me (story by Bobby Crosby). Plus, she works & has 1.5 kids and a husband. She's awesome. Do read her stuff.
- Earthsong, by Crystal Yates. A wonderful story of the Elements and the sources of legends.
- Kimono's Townhouse, by Dava Butler. Actual My Little Ponies, with geek humor. Read and enjoy. PLUS, there's the 'Cooking With Superman' TV show she made up for the comic. It's awesome.
- Devil's Panties, by Jennie Breeden. Your inner geek will be happy. Trust me.
- Strays, by Samantha Whitten and Stacey Pefferkorn. And no, I'm not a furry. But it's a good comic and well-drawn.
- Wooden Rose, by Tami Wicinas, one I discovered today on Tom Geeks. A Victorian setting about love and loss.
- Zombie Hunters, by Jenny Romanchuk, updated every Monday and sometimes on Thursdays.
- Applegeeks, by Mohammad F. Haque (artist) and Ananth Panagariya (author). If you are truly a nerd, then you will read it, even you sadly, like me, do not own a Mac. :P I like my PC, though.
- There's Penny Arcade, by Tycho & Gabe.
- Looking For Group, by Sohmer & Lar.
- Orneryboy, by Micheal Lalonde. His girlfriend is a vegan, which is awesome and funny.
- Girls With Slingshots, by Danielle Corsetto. "Two girls, a bar and a talking cactus." Indeed. And a woman who works at a porn shop.
- And last, but certainly not least, 30 Seconds With Bunnies, by Jennifer Shiman. Remakes of your fav movies in 30 seconds, with bunnies. For a proper introduction to this, watch Jaws first. It's independent and VERY home-made (but good stuff), so updates take a while. But they are definitely worth it.

New projects
I'm currently working on a gas mask for the Gas Mask Masquerade up in Denver (the 12th), but I'm also trying to put together some cool tin purses. I've made one so far that was hand-painted, mostly for fun and as an experiment with the medium, which I wasn't that happy with. I think I'll stick with spray paint and air brushing. I'm trying the new stuff because having JUST masks is really limiting my creative output and my sales.
I was going to try for a spot at Colorado Springs Pride Fest with my friends, but the spots are $225! Insane! PLUS, you have to rent a booth. The smallest ones were 15x15. Maybe I'll go for it next year. Ugh. Since I haven't had a show in a long while, I think I'll shoot for another gallery spot, maybe at the BAC in Manitou or a gallery in the 'Springs around September/October.
Back to work on that mask!
