My first post on here
My name is Brighid and I'm a mask-maker. I also paint, sketch and sculpt. I started making masks in October of 2006 and have since dove head-first into a business of making masks to sell. While I have artwork I would absolutely love to sell, I really enjoy putting together commission pieces. My first commission was a fun challenge and it was really wonderful to see the happy satisfaction in my customer. I work in plaster of Paris, clay (hard-baked and soft) and plastic. My masks all have names, and each has a story to go with it. My hard masks, in paster and hard-baked clay, are for display only, whereas my soft clay and plastic masks are for display and wear. All masks are signed and come with a unique, hand-made price tag and story. If you would like to commission a piece with your own story, please submit the story in 200 words or less to my email, brighidsmasks@gmail.com. When I have art shows, please understand that most times, the price will rise in order for the gallery-owner to make a profit. Usually, the split is 60-40. If I am going to have an art show, notification will placed on my sales page at Brighids House O' Masks - Sales.
