Spring 2010 & Future Plans

So, with the Vernal Equinox just around the corner, I'm antsy to work on projects that will likely require lots of open windows and a sufficient gas mask. :D I'm going to work on some things which will require a little education and some enamel, along with several other items, to add to my repertoire. My masks, as cool as they are, aren't always affordable for the average person (like me :P). As such, I have some purses in mind to create. My thought here is to create enough stock of small crafts, and some more masks, to take to a convention in October. I'd like to hit the sci-fi cons, but I think my line might be better for fantasy cons. I have an idea for a new display, using a tall metal cube-like piece, often seen in retail shops to show off jewelry and such. It would look much better than the wooden backboard, and probably easier to carry around. I imagine such displays come apart for transport. I may also experiment with jewelry cases and other small wooden items; I seem to have a knack for furniture restoration. Speaking of which, I will likely be moving up north come this fall, and if I can score a place with a garage, I'm going to try my hand at making masks out of different materials, which require open ventilation and more space. Also, I'll have more room to restore furniture. I'm a big fan of dark cherry in my own home and I would like to extend that to most of my furniture. So, it won't just be masks from here on out. However, my goal is to at least have a shot at some professional make-up classes, and if I still feel the inclination, I would like to apply to go to makeup school in Vancouver. 'Sides, it's actually a lot warmer there than here in the 'Springs. :D I want to continue making masks, but I also want to expand my horizons. Here's to a bright future! :D
